Fine Art Registry™ Privacy Policy

- Information Collected
In order to access certain subscriber services and restricted areas within the FINE ART REGISTRY™ Web site (the "Site"), Global Fine Art Registry, LLC., requires that you provide certain identifying information (the "Registration Data") listed in the online MEMBER registration form. This information may include your legal name, address, telephone number(s), e-mail address, subscriber name or "screen name," areas of interest, registration/ownership information of fine art and collectibles, password used to access Pay services, method of payment, and, if applicable, credit card number. Fine Art Registry reserves the right to request any additional information necessary to establish and maintain your account for use of the Pay Services.
Fine Art Registry is a permanent database. Therefore, in your use of the services of this site, you expressly agree and do authorize that the information or Registration Data collected by Fine Art Registry as to description and ownership of fine art and collectibles is permanent in nature and will not be removed from the database under any circumstances, except where required by law and in the case of fraud and/or criminal activity.
- About Children
At the present time, children are not eligible to use our services and we ask that minors (under the age of 18 years) do not submit any personal information to us. Children’s art may be registered and listed for sale by the child’s parent or guardian, provided that the parent and/or guardian is over the age of 18.
- Confidentiality
Registration and MEMBER Data is the property of Fine Art Registry, subject to and protected by the Electronic Communications Privacy Act. Fine Art Registry will not sell, rent, swap, or otherwise disclose your Registration Data to any third party. Fine Art Registry maintains a secured area on the Site for transmission of Registration Data, and stores all Registration Data in a private database which is not connected to the Internet.
- Print Publications
All non-sensitive Registration and MEMBER data, to the extent the Member qualifies may be used in print publications produced by Fine Art Registry. In using the services of this web site you expressly agree and do authorize, Fine Art Registry, to collect and use the Member data necessary to reference the member in planned print publications. No sensitive personal information or data will be used in connection with these publications. The print publications are meant as reference guides only and will contain only relevant non-sensitive information such as artist’s name, birth date year, sales records (if any), number of tags issued, genre, and country of origin.
- Security
Fine Art Registry™ uses industry standard practices to safeguard the confidentiality of your personal identifiable information, including “firewalls” and Secure Socket Layers. Fine Art Registry treats data as an asset that must be protected against loss and unauthorized access. We employ many different security techniques to protect such data from unauthorized access by users inside and outside the company. However, “perfect security” does not exist on the Internet.
- Your Password
You are responsible for all actions taken with your User ID and password, including any fees incurred. Therefore, we do not recommend that you disclose your Fine Art Registry password to any third parties. If you choose to share your User ID and password or your information with third parties to provide you additional services, you are responsible for all actions taken with your User ID and password. If you lose control of your password, you may lose substantial control over your personally identifiable information and may be subject to legally binding actions taken on your behalf. Therefore, if your password has been compromised for any reason, you should immediately change your password as detailed in Section 8.
- Uses of Registration Data
Unless you select the "Opt-Out" option as described below, Fine Art Registry reserves the right to use your Registration Data to send you information about Fine Art Registry, the Site, Fine Art Registry products and services, and other topics in which you have indicated an interest.
- Opt-Out Right
If you do not wish to receive any special offers or other communications from Fine Art Registry, you have the right to select the "opt out" option during the registration process or at any time afterwards. You may "opt out" by indicating same when you register for an account or at any time afterwards by emailing .
- User Access to Information Collected
You may access your Registration Data at any time through the Subscriber services section of the Site. This area is password-restricted for your protection.
- Lost or Stolen Information
If your credit card or password is stolen or used without your permission, immediately notify Fine Art Registry. Upon notification Fine Art Registry will cancel your credit card number and/or password and update its records. You may be unable to access certain services while Fine Art Registry processes the credit card and/or password change.
- Cancellation
You may cancel your account at any time by sending an e-mail to Fine Art Registry at . Fine Art Registry will retain your registration data as a permanent record, associated with the registered fine art and/or collectibles.
- No Liability for Acts of Third Parties
Although Fine Art Registry will use all reasonable efforts to safeguard the confidentiality of the Registration Data, transmissions made by means of the Internet cannot be made absolutely secure. Fine Art Registry will have no liability for disclosure of Registration Data due to errors in transmission or unauthorized acts of third parties.
- Use of Aggregated Information
Fine Art Registry reserves the right to disclose to third parties information about Subscriber usage of the Fine Art Registry Web site and any related services, including information gathered during your use of the Site. Any information disclosed will be in the form of aggregate data (such as overall patterns or demographic reports) that does not describe or identify any individual user.
- Updates
Fine Art Registry reserves the right to change or update this Privacy Policy, or any other Fine Art Registry policy or practice, at any time with reasonable notice to users of the Site. Any changes or updates will be effective immediately upon posting to the Site.
