About

Welcome to the FAR® Blog. We are excited to offer this free new service to all of our member artists and collectors. Now you can make your permanent mark in history by recording everything you would like the world to know about you and the art you create or collect. And unlike other Blogs, FAR will maintain permanent archives of each member’s blog entries for future generations.

All active FAR members can start blogging immediately—just log in using the same user name and password that you use to login to FAR.

For artists, blogging can be a powerful marketing tool. The key to selling your artwork is to promote it. Period. No one can do this better than the artist themselves. The FAR Blog is an easy way for artists to display art, discuss key issues related to art and its creation, post announcements, and so much more! If done correctly, blogging can be extraordinarily profitable for the artist.

The best thing about blogging is that it doesn’t require any special technical skill or knowledge of HTML and the search engines love their dynamic content which drives traffic directly to your art work!

Collectors can also benefit by sharing special knowledge on all types of collecting subjects, like favorite contemporary artists, painting, sculpture, rare books and manuscripts, antique furniture, and all the other endless topics related to visual art and collectibles.

Because the FAR blog has the capability of archiving all of your previous posts, it dynamically creates an individual web page for each journal entry. This feature is wonderful for art collectors and prospective buyers using search engines like Google to find original art. For instance, let’s say your blog post describes a bronze nude sculpture that you just finished and an art collector in Ohio uses Google to search for “bronze nude sculpture.” There is a good chance that your blog post will appear high in the rankings on Google drawing traffic to YOUR art work and your FAR portfolio pages. What better advertisement can you get for FREE!
