How do I Register my Art & Collectibles with FAR® ID Tag
Registering Your Art & Collectibles with FAR® ID Tag:
Note: In order to register any art work or collectables you must have Fine Art Registry ID Tags purchased and located in your member area.
If you have not purchased FAR® ID Tags click on this link: www.farwebstore.com.
On the left hand navigational bar under the heading "Membership Options" click on "Click here to login" once logged in this will open up the Membership Options. Click on "Purchase Tags" and follow the steps to purchase your FAR ID Tags. When the tags have been purchased they will be placed immediately in your member area under heading "My Tags" click on "Available Tags".
You must log into your account by using your username and password you provided upon registering for your FAR Membership. If you do not remember your username or password please contact us at or call 888/595-ARTS (2787).
1.) Member page.
On Fine Art Registry® click on "My Account" or "Member Login" (On Top or Bottom of the Homepage)
2.) Member login.
Log into the account using the username and password (This will take you to your Member Page)
3.) View available tag.
Under heading "My Tags" click on "Available Tags" (This will take you to your list of unregisterd tags)
4.) Select tag.
Locate FAR ID Tag number you wish to register and click on "Register" (This will take you to your image uploads form.)
**Note: Please double check to make sure the FAR number matches the piece being registered.
5.) Photo upload.
Click on first image "Browse" select an image "Front" (JPG image only) repeat for "Second" image upload. Once all images are selected click on "Submit". This will take you to a review page of your images
**Note: For the second image upload we recommend that you have and image of the FAR ID Tag on the back of the art work or sculpture.
6.) Photo review.
If one or more images are not correct then click on "Upload Different Images" and re-select Front and Back images (see step 5 above), and click on "Submit" again. If Images are correct click on "Continue Registration". This will now take you to the details of the work.
7.) Registration details.
Fill out all information applicable to the work you are registering.
Examples for Description area:
- Describe the piece in detail (How it was created, why it was created, how it was signed, etc. Creating a story for the piece will allow your collectors to connect to your Fine Art.
- If registering a multiple record what edition and the number of your edition.
**Note: If you have the original registered on FAR mention the FAR ID Tag number that references the original from which the multiple was produced.
- If you are a collector and registering your collections describe how you obtained the piece, its condition and any visible markings that will help recover your piece if stolen or lost.
- If a painting is registered regardless if you are a collector or an artist record whether the piece is framed or unframed.
- The more details you place in the description area the better protection you will have in the future. All information is and will be permanently stored in the Fine Art Registry database.
Once completed with the details click on "Continue". This will take you to another review page of ALL the information of your work including your images.
8.) Review images and details.
If you find a mistake you will need to click on "Modify" and make all corrections then click on "Submit" again. After reviewing that all information is correct, click on "Confirm". This will take you to a page letting you know that the registration has been completed and to also ask if you would like to continue with another registration. This will also finalize your registration and place it in your "Registered Tags" list in your member area.
