Another Park West Gallery Dissatisfied Customer
Case Study
Park West Gallery sells Brian Falk a fake Dali print and then puts the Falks through an absolute nightmare, dragged out over several years when they try to get help from customer services and senior Park West Gallery executives to right the matter. Lies, false assurances, price gouging, knowingly selling fakes and not putting it right even when clearly pointed out characterize this case study.
Brian Falk and his wife, Malene Hansen, of Ansager, Denmark, contacted Fine Art Registry® with their story after trying very hard to get Park West Gallery to make good their sale to the Falks of a Dalí print that Brian Falk, after extensive research, has concluded is definitely a fake and worthless. Their story and all correspondence and supporting documents are given here in full as they are instructive for others who may be considering buying art, particularly from art auctions at sea and even more particularly from Park West Gallery.

Fellow FAR users and other readers.
Be sure to read my story on how I was sold a Dalí "lithograph" by Park West Galley, that turned out to be fake - and how Park West Gallery to this date have failed misserably in putting it right.
The story is quite extensive and profond and contains a lot of correspondence with Park West Senior executives. Read it here:
http://www.fineartadvocacy.com/articles/dali-ripoff-parkwest.php
The piece is named "Filius prodigus" from the Sacra Biblia collection.
I'll be happy to answer questions and comments from anyone.
Kind regards

Park West Gallery Refuses to Right the Wrong on Dali Print - Litigation on the Horizon
Sequel to the Brian Falk Case Study
Here are the developments in the few days that have ensued since we published the full case study of Brian Falk and his wife Malene Hansen who were sold what appears to be a fake Salvador Dali print at a Park West at Sea "auction" aboard the Royal Caribbean cruise ship Explorer of the Seas on their honeymoon in 2004. Then followed a series of customer services and executive bloopers of magnitude as Park West sent them the wrong print, declared the value for customs purposes to be a third of what they paid, and then contradicted themselves internally regarding the provenance and value of the piece sent.
We said at the end of the case study recently published that we would follow up on the case to see where it went. Here is the first sequel...

Fellow FAR users and other readers.
Allthough my story is quite lengthy I beleive, that FAR has made a great job trying to make it clear to everyone who reads it. Thanks FAR.
I urge everyone to take the time to read the full story.
I hope that someone at Park West Gallery will read it aswell. Hopefully he/she will realize, that this is totally wrong and then make contact with me. Should this happen, I'll ofcourse keep you posted of any positive developments in this case.
Again; should there be any questions or comments to my story, I'll be happy to answer them.

Hi DMA
Unfortunately I haven't heard from Park West Gallery since Mr. Shapiros email dated November 5th.
Since then I have been in contact with Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, who has started up a case.
Also; It turned out, that only US residents can join the class action suit against Park West Gallery. Therefore I have made an individual contact to a US lawyer who has been reviewing all the files/documents in this case. We will be having a meeting early next week and I have a good feeling about this.
I'M NOT GONNA QUIT.
Ofcourse I still hope that Park West Gallery will contact me to solve the issue. That would save all of us a lote of time, work and money.
All the best and thanks for your support,
Brian |

Dear FAR users.
Just wanted to let you all know, that unfortunately there's still no updates. I've been "put on ice" by both Park West Gallery and Royal Carribean Cruise lines, who after noumeruos emails have made absolutely no reply. The last month or two has been busy doing other things, but I'm getting ready for another "hit" on PWG. I've found several other PWG customers in Denmark, and we're in contact with a tv station in Denmark with the stories. All the best, Brian. |

Wow - I just noticed how many hits this post has. Thanks. I'm still ready to answer any questions.
I have just been in contact with a US Attorney. We discussed a suit against Park West Gallery. I just need to gather a little more information in that matter, but that's definately the way this case i heading.
Next week - the piece will be examined at the Danish Police. It will be exiting to see close-up pictures, if it's really "an original lithograph". Hopefully I can have the pictures posted at Fine Art Advocacy.
So long ! |

Hello, Brian...
Of course, Fine Art Registry will be happy to post an update of your case on the www.FineArtAdvocacy.com web page as well as the main Fine Art Registry web site. We are happy things are progressing for you. As soon as you learn something new regarding your print from the Danish Police be sure to update the Forum here and email David Phillips so we can work on a follow up story.
Keep up the great work. You are an inspiration to all. _________________ Fine Art Registry
