From the Editors
Have you visited the Fine Art Registry™ website recently? Change after change. If you haven’t been there for a while, you should visit: FineArtRegistry.com And tell us what you think. It’s your website too so your 2¢ worth is valuable. The Editors  Why Register? Why Transfer Ownership? Why Bother? Do you have a bunch of your art work that you haven’t yet registered? Even a few pieces? 
No time? No tags? Some other reason? You’ll regret it! Come on. Order those tags, take the photos, tag the pieces, register them. You’ll have them in your gallery for all to see. Your clients will appreciate the extra effort to add security and value to the pieces they buy. If you’re a collector, you will have a safer collection. If you value it, tag it! Perhaps even more important is your contribution to the overall mission: “helping bring order to the world of art.” We are trying to put an end to the confusion, shady dealings, questionnable authenticity and provenance that still pervades the world of art. Enough! So you tagging those pieces is an important part of this. Transfer of Ownership For the same reason, you need to get a little strenuous in urging your clients to complete the transfer of ownership transaction. We’ve made this easier than ever. They just have to go to the Fine Art Registry Home Page, click on the "Transfer of Ownership" button top left and follow the instructions. Won’t cost them (or you) a dime. But it will give them a gallery they can refer people to and it could well increase your sales because more people will be exposed to your work. Just do it! It will pay off. Carri Miles 
Self-representing artist Carri Miles survived “a sea of tears” and is making a living doing what she loves: painting."...in 2000 multiple disasters struck. She lost her mother and husband and was herself diagnosed with cancer. 'It was a traumatic and emotional period for me,' says Carri, although she has gotten over this so well that you really wouldn’t know it. 'I started painting just as a therapy'...." Piece of the Month
Eugene Liskin's painting "Idyll" is chosen this month for its extraordinary composition, color and symbolism. In this painting, Liskin leads the eye through a colorful curtain of surreal nature into a sanctuary of harmony. The eye is taken deeper into the painting to just left of center and to the chunky humanlike creatures inextricably linked with the colorful birds which suggests that the idea of nirvana is a possible state of mind in the seventh heaven of "Idyll".
