Coming Soon
New Additional Tagging TechnologyFAR® is working hard to bring its members cutting edge security tagging solutions for establishing permanent ownership records of visual art and valuables, including all types of collectibles. We are pleased to announce that soon we will offer a new tagging solution for jewelry, rare coins, and other valuables that are considered too small to accommodate our original security tag. This new state-ofthe-art technology will also be a perfect solution for tagging rare books, manuscripts, and photographs and an excellent option for those who would rather register their art objects using a more covert tagging system. In development for well over a year, we are excited about this new addition to our tagging technology and the benefits it will bring to our membership. We’ll keep you posted on the rollout of the new tagging solution. We just couldn’t wait to mention it!
Video on the FAR WebsiteThat’s right. Videoed interviews, videoed explanations of how FAR works, videoed artist profiles. This is the age of motion pictures (and most people have forgotten how to read). Stay tuned. There are other changes coming and we’ll announce them soon.
Shopping Cart Yes, a shopping cart on the FAR website. This is going to make a lot of things easier including selling your artwork. More news of this to come. Boy, I tell you, it’s just like XMAS around here!
New Articles. And By the Way, Did you Know About the PDFs?
Perhaps a little known fact is that all the articles you see being posted on the FAR website in HTML form ARE ALSO AVAILABLE IN PDF FORMAT. So what? I hear you say. Well, the PDFs are NOT the same as the articles. Let's just do a comparison. Download the PDF of this Special Bulletin HERE. Now compare. Now check out this article (it’s a new one by Teri Franks, just gone up) Getting to the Truth of Authentication.. And download the PDF. And compare. Got it? Now you know. There’s a PDF for every new article and for the newsletters and special bulletins. You can print them, e-mail them or just enjoy them. A lot of work goes into their design. Feel free to download and distribute them. Check out these other articles while you’re at it and download the PDFs as well: Fine Art Registry, By “FAR” the Best - An objective comparison of existing art registries. by Anayat Durrani But If It Isn't: What Does It Mean If the Pollock Isn’t a Pollock? by Cindy Ellen Hill, Esq.
