FAR Website Update
What’s ahead for the Fine Art Registry

1. Lost Art Board: We are moving foward in our commitment to preserving art history by offering the new Lost Art Board. This online board will allow you to place details of your lost or stolen works of art for the entire world to see, record details of the incident, upload photos of the lost work, and upload files such as police reports, insurance documentation, personal records, etc. The board will be categorized by geographic location and art categories to simplify the submit and search procedure. With worldwide exposure, recovered artwork has a better chance of finding its rightful owner through this new FAR Lost Art community, to be online in the coming month.

2. FAR Web Videos: By now you’ve no doubt seen the Frankie Brown video on the Fine Art Registry homepage. This is the first of many planned videos in this new endeavor for the FAR video library. Videos on the horizon include: an introduction to the Fine Art Registry, featured artists, collectors, and more. It’s coming soon to a computer near you. Check the Fine Art Registry homepage for updates.

3. FAR Website & Member Administration: What other improvements you can look forward to? (The truth is, some have already been implemented but will never actually be seen because they operate in the background of “cyber-space”.) In the works are the new member administration pages, and we are streamlining and simplifying the process of membership renewals, security tag ordering, and offering more to our members in a new shopping cart. AND, we listened when you requested additional photos for artwork. Certificates of authenticity templates are being created to offer artists more customization. Members will also have greater ability to modify their listings. When these are all in place, you will be the first to know! More to come... stay tuned.

He invited FAR Founder and CEO, Theresa Franks, and several other members of the FAR team, to tour his private gallery. That historic visit, and Dr. Perrin’s astute comments on why one must register their art, will be the subject of an upcoming article and video.
